Our Story

Our story begins with 'The Dread House' live action theatre, where performed every Halloween to thousands of people a spooky experience. Every time we did this, members of the public would come up to us to share their stories. However, if you search online for stories in Enfield, you get only one. We thought it was time to address this issue and go in search of the borough's haunted past. We started with the amazing book by Jason Hollis and he shared with us a number of tales he hadn't been able to publish. Since our launch in January 2026, we have received a large number of stories from residents past and present about the strange goings on.

We have to thank, Enfield Voluntary Action, Our Voices and the Enfield LGBT Network for this amazing opportunity to save Enfield's spooky past.
