At the most recent immersive Halloween experience at Capel Manor gardens, the Dread House team were allowed access to the manor house, where they created a four roomed maze. One of the rooms was the main staircase, two crew members decorated the stairs with old toys and then covered them with fake cobwebs. Both crew members independently passed on putting out a small brown plastic camel as both thought it look tacky and was in keeping with the other toys in the collection. The camel was put back in the suitcase, itself a prop, locked and placed two rooms away. The crew finished for the night and as they left they watched the caretaker lock the building and follow them out to the main gate.
The next morning, the house wasn’t open and the crew members waited patiently outside for the caretaker to open up the house for them to continue working. One of the two crew noticed that the brown camel was on the floor of the room with the staircase underneath the stairs where all of the toys were lined up. There wasn’t any room on the banisters for the camel to fit, so it couldn’t have fallen. No one had been in the house overnight and both crew members swear the camel was in the suitcase when they left.
