The Ghost Stories of Enfield

is a concept created and run in partnership with ‘Enfield LGBT Network‘ & ‘The Dread House Haunts‘.

It was started in 2025 as a project to address the in balance of recorded stories in the London’s most northerly borough. Enfield has an extremely long and recorded history and with that a number of stories that have been passed down over the years. The most most famous of all is the Green street ghost, where a film and television programme have been made. If you type in Enfield Ghosts in a search engine you will see 5 or 6 pages of references to this story, which leaves all of the others far behind. I wanted to address this issue, growing up in the borough I have been aware of far more occurrences than the most popular and I wanted to give a voice to these before they are lost forever.

The project is funded by Enfield Voluntary Action’s heritage fund. The start of the project has been slow despite the first month producing a promising start. I have a number of stories still to share here and they will be coming over the next three months with an immersive experience in January 2027.

Thank you for your time.
